Ambulatory Care Clinics

Ambulatory care, also known as outpatient care, is medical care or treatment that does not require an overnight stay in hospital.  

Ambulatory care is typically offered in response to a medical event —with the goal of preventing or reducing the need for hospital admission.

At Joseph Brant Hospital, ambulatory care includes diagnosis, observation, consultation, treatment, intervention and rehabilitation services.

Clinics

Preparation

  • Ensure you have your Ontario Health Card or proof of medical coverage
  • Pack all current prescription and non-prescription medications
  • Arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment
  • Check-in at the registration desk 

What Patients Can Expect

  • Your visit may take up to an hour or more
  • Blood and other laboratory work may be required depending on the assessment.
