The Hand and Upper Limb Clinic provides care to patients who have experienced an injury to their hand or arm following an accident or trauma. It also provides post-operative therapy.
Location
The Hand and Upper Limb Clinic is located on Level 1 of the North tower.
Hours of Operation
Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Referrals
Patients are seen by referral from Plastic or Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Patients
Once referred, we will call you to book an in-person or virtual appointment.
Services
- Improve range of motion and strength to maximize functional use.
- Splint fabrication to protect, maintain or restore position or movement.
- Manage pain and/or control swelling.
- Facilitate greater independence with daily activities.
Preparation
In-person appointment
- Bring your Ontario Health Card or proof of medical coverage.
- Bring your clinic referral form with you.
- Bring your WSIB claim number (if applicable).
- Arrive 10 minutes before your appointment.
Virtual appointment
- Follow the instructions provided in your virtual visit confirmation.
What to expect
Your health care team will include a physiotherapists and occupational therapist.
In-person appointment
- Your visit may take 30-60 minutes.
- Your health care may be provided by an occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
- You may be instructed to continue therapy at home.
