About our Board of Directors
The Joseph Brant Hospital Board of Directors consists of:
- 12 voting Directors who are elected by the members
- 2 ex officio members who are entitled to vote (one appointee from the Municipal Council of the City of Burlington, and the Chair or Vice Chair of the Hospital Foundation)
- 5 non-voting ex officio members (the President & Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Nursing Executive, the Chief of Staff, the President of the Medical Staff Association, and the Vice President of the Medical Staff Association)
The Board of Directors shall govern and oversee the management of the affairs of the Corporation. The Board, being accountable for quality, shall ensure mechanisms and policies are in place to provide a high quality of care for patients.

JBH is inviting applications from the community for the Quality Committee of the Board of Directors. We seek a volunteer Citizen Member for this sub-committee of the Board for one term (up to 3 years).
The Quality Committee assists the Board of Directors in fulfilling its responsibilities by providing leadership in conjunction with monitoring and reporting on quality at JBH.
