Breastfeeding-Clinic

Please be advised, the Breastfeeding Clinic will be moving from 2 East to 2 West on May 30, 2016 to make way for the renovation of our Maternal Child Unit on 2 East. This renovation is one of many exciting changes as part of the hospital's Redevelopment & Expansion Project. Starting May 30, please follow signs to the new Breastfeeding Clinic on 2 West.

JBH's Breastfeeding Clinic is staffed by a board-certified lactation consultant each clinic day.

The Clinic is closed on Mondays.  Hours of operation: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Tuesday through Sunday.

The nursing team assists new mothers and babies with breastfeeding during their hospital stay and provides support and assistance after discharge both in the clinic and over the telephone. The nursing team will work closely with the Breastfeeding Clinic to plan care for families. Clients may also be seen in the prenatal period to discuss infant feeding.

The Joseph Brant Hospital Breastfeeding clinic provides care for babies up to the age of 6-weeks that were born at JBH or babies that have a physician or midwife in Burlington, who has privileges at JBH.

Beyond 6 weeks of age you can contact the Public Health Department for more support or contact one of the following resources:
