On Monday April 16, 2018 the new temporary location of the Breastfeeding Clinic will be: 1N791.

In order to assist you with your way finding during our renovations please follow the directions to the new location:

Directions from the Parking Garage:   

  • Make your way to the second floor of the Parking Garage

  • Cross the walkway into the hospital

  • Walk straight ahead, past the Cafeteria and the Information Desk

  • Continue to walk along the corridor with the white wavy wall

  • When you come to the North Tower remain to the right and walk all the way down the hall, you will see white construction walls along the way

  • At the end of the hall turn right

  • Near the exit doors (which are inaccessible due to construction), the new location is on the left hand side

     

Directions from Main Entrance in North Tower (Tim Horton’s)

  • Walk to the left of the elevators

  • Turn left and walk to the switchboard sign, continue past Diagnostic Imaging

  • Then turn right and walk about 10 feet, you will have reached a T juncture in the hallway,

  • Turn left and walk to the end of the hall you will see white construction walls along the way

     

  • At the end of the hall turn left

  • Near the exit doors, the new location is on the left hand side

JBH's Breastfeeding Clinic is staffed by a board-certified lactation consultant each clinic day.

The Clinic is closed on Mondays.  Hours of operation: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Tuesday through Sunday.

The nursing team assists new mothers and babies with breastfeeding during their hospital stay and provides support and assistance after discharge both in the clinic and over the telephone. The nursing team will work closely with the Breastfeeding Clinic to plan care for families. Clients may also be seen in the prenatal period to discuss infant feeding.

The Joseph Brant Hospital Breastfeeding clinic provides care for babies up to the age of 6-weeks that were born at JBH or babies that have a physician or midwife in Burlington, who has privileges at JBH.
