Please pay your bill when you are discharged from the hospital. We accept VISA, MasterCard, cash, debit card or cheque.

Q. How do I pay my Patient Invoice or Statement?
A.We have several payment options for your convenience. You can pay in person, by mail, online or via telephone!
Pay your bill in person:
You can make payments at the Cashier's Office, located on the first floor around the corner from Tim Horton's, during business hours or after hours with Admitting (debit not available after hours). Please bring a copy of the patient invoice. The Cashier will provide you with a receipt for your payment. If you must pay after discharge, you will be invoiced by the hospital within a few days of your discharge.
Cashier's Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Payments outside these hours can be made in the Admitting Department

Pay your bill online:
Joseph Brant Hospital offers online payment 24 hours a day for patient accounts through a secure Web-payment system.
Note: There is a $2 service fee to make an online payment. This fee goes directly to the provider of this service, not the hospital.

*Your patient account number can be located on the top right corner or bottom left corner of your invoice. *Please do not send cash payments by mail.
OHIP, Rates & Fees
If you live in Ontario and have a valid health card, you are covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and are able to receive standard care.
Additional fees are charged for items such as:
- Preferred accommodation
- Delisted procedures (a procedure that is no longer covered by OHIP)
- Uninsured procedures (a procedure that is not covered by OHIP)
- Medical devices (ie.crutches,splints etc).
- Complex Care Co-payments (CCC) (for room & accommodation)
- Release of information

Please check your private insurance coverage before coming to the hospital because hospital staff will not have access to this information.
If you decide to upgrade your room to a semi-private or private, call Admitting Services at 905-632-3737 ext. 4110 .
Please note that physicians will bill out-of-country and uninsured patients separately for uninsured or delisted services. The hospital is not responsible for any billings or payments that result from physician-related charges.
