Hide My Tracks

Each time you visit a website or use a search engine, your browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) stores records of your activities on your computer, tablet or mobile phone. If you use a Google Account or iCloud service, your browsing history may be stored on all your devices.

If you need to cover your tracks, there are a few precautions you can do to reduce the risk of being tracked.

Clear your internet browser history

Your internet browser tracks what sites you've visited and what you've looked at. A list is then left on your computer and can be accessed by others who use the device.

Clear your cache

Your cache stores any files you may have recently looked at from within your browser. This is different than your internet history. Different internet browsers have a different set of rules to clear their cache.
