Regular Visiting Policy

Inpatient Visiting Policy

We have a flexible visiting policy. Visiting hours are offered 24 hours a day, but set in discussion with the patient. They can be based on clinical care needs and may be adjusted at any time. 

When visiting, children must be accompanied by an adult who is not a patient.  

Quiet Time

Quiet time is in effect from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. During this time, visitors and patients are asked to keep noise to a minimum. 

After Hours Access

Between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 6 a.m., access to the hospital is limited. Visitors must enter through:

  • The Emergency Department 
  • Hogarth Family Pioneer Energy Gateway
    (the walkway between parking garage and hospital). 

After Hours Check-in

After hours, visitors must check in at:

  • the Security Office, and
  • the units Communication Station. 


The Security office is located at the entrance to the Emergency Department. It is open 24 hours a day.

Emergency Department (ED) Visiting Policy

  • One (1) visitor per patient. 
  • Patients awaiting an ICU admission, may receive visits from immediate family as their condition permits.
  • Please decide on one contact person to call the hospital outside of visiting hours who can then relay information to other family members and friends. 

Infection Prevention

To protect our patients, please use the hand washing stations located at all of our entrances. Do not visit the hospital if:

  • you or your children are feeling sick,
  • have a fever or cough, 
  • have diarrhea or vomiting.
