Fees, Billing & Payment

If you live in Ontario and have a valid health card, you are covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and are able to receive standard care.

Private Medical Coverage & Health Insurance 

We are unable check or confirm eligibility for private medical coverage or health insurance. Please have this information with you before coming to the hospital.  


Physicians will bill out-of-country and uninsured patients separately for uninsured or delisted services. The hospital is not responsible for any billings or payments that result from physician-related charges.

Paying your bill

Patients are asked to pay their bill on discharge. Payment is accepted in-person, by mail, telephone or web (online). We accept VISA, MasterCard, cash, debit and cheque.

Patients can pay their bills in-person during regular business hours at the Cashier's Office— or, after hours at Admitting & Registration

The Cashier's Office is located on Level 1 of the South tower across from the cafeteria.

Paying your bill by web (online)

Patients can pay their bill online 24 hours day using our secure payment portal.  Patients paying their bill by web will be charged a $2 convenience fee by the web-service provider.
