Jennifer Michetti

We are proud of the dedicated service, compassion and ongoing care that everyone within our hospital gives to patients and their families each and every day.

During Service Milestone Recognition Week, we are celebrating a few service milestones of our staff and physicians.

Jennifer is the Manager of Allied Health & 7 South Acute Medicine and has worked at Joseph Brant Hospital for over 10 years. Read below to learn about her role and what she likes best about working at JBH.

“I had the opportunity to complete one of my student placements at Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH) while I was in Occupational Therapy school. I am also a Burlington resident – so the combination of having already met the team and experienced the work first hand, alongside contributing directly to my home community was ideal for me.”

Jennifer began working as a casual Occupational Therapist (OT) at JBH in 2013. During her career, she has supported the organization in a variety of roles including, OT Professional Practice Leader, Clinical Operations Manager for the temporary COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic, Interim Manager of Flow & Patient Navigators, Interim Manager of 7S Acute Medicine & Telemetry, and since 2020, the Manager of Allied Health.

“I am lucky to have been provided a wide variety of development opportunities over the 10 years.”

As Manager of Allied Health, she combines her front-line knowledge alongside systems navigation to provide the biggest impact in helping JBH teams support patients and families in their journeys.

“I have experience in delivering front-line care at JBH as an Occupational Therapist across many different units and patient populations. This has really helped to inform the manner in which I approach my current role as manager.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jennifer also played an integral role in helping run and set up a temporary COVID Vaccine Clinic at the hospital.

“I had the opportunity to work alongside great partnerships both within JBH (eg. Pharmacy, Volunteers Services, Scheduling, CSS) as well as external partners (eg. Halton Region). We came together in a short time to co-create a vaccine clinic that delivered efficient and quality care, while completing a high volume of daily vaccinations, 400-plus a day at one point. Personally, I feel pride in the tangible contributions that I was able to be a part of in terms of the Burlington community response to COVID.”

Thank you, Jennifer, for providing quality, compassionate, patient-centred care and being part of the Joseph Brant Hospital Community!
