A Holiday Message from the President & CEO

As 2021 draws to a close, I would like to thank you, our community, for your support throughout the pandemic. It was this support that inspired us to be here and care for you, day in and day out, over the last year, under extraordinary and challenging circumstances.

I would also like to thank our physicians, our staff, our volunteers, and our learners who have been outstanding throughout these last 12 months. These health care heroes came in day after day to care for the people we serve, and I am so proud of each and every one of you.

As we head into the holiday season with a rise in cases fuelled by the highly transmissible Omicron variant, I remind you all to be sensible about your holiday gatherings. Please consider keeping windows open, implement physical distancing, wear masks, ensure everyone around you is vaccinated, and follow Public Health guidance and directives, in order to keep each other safe.

Throughout this 5th wave of the pandemic, we are all going to be challenged. It is important for us to change our behaviour and receive third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, or first and second doses for those who have yet to receive them. By working together and getting vaccinated, we will get through this and take one step closer to the end of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
