Joseph Brant Hospital COVID-19 Outbreak Declared Over

Joseph Brant Hospital’s COVID-19 outbreak has been declared over on inpatient Unit 6 South 200 (6S200), in consultation with Halton Public Health.

The outbreak was declared on January 6, 2022 after three patients on 6 South 200 tested positive for COVID-19. During the outbreak nine patients and two staff contracted COVID-19.

All appropriate actions were taken to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and physicians.

We thank our staff whose expertise and teamwork brought this outbreak to a close. Our thoughts are with those whose wellbeing may have been impacted during this outbreak.

Essential caregivers and support persons are now able to visit patients on 6S200 in accordance with the inpatient visitor policy outlined on the Joseph Brant Hospital website at: www.josephbranthospital.ca/visitors
