Meet Bryan, a Registered Nurse (RN) who joined Joseph Brant Hospital in 2021 as Patient Flow Coordinator at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bryan was charged with the challenging task of ensuring patients move efficiently through their health care journey. Collaborating with all members of the health care team—patients, caregivers, health care workers and operational support teams to ensure a quality, safe patient care experience.

“Efficient patient flow is the bloodstream of a hospital” says Bryan. “Ensuring timely access to care and promoting better outcomes for all”.

Bryan has become a shining example of what can happen when you put your heart into your job. In 2022, he was promoted to Manager, Patient Flow and Inpatient Palliative, Complex and Transitional Care for his hard work and demonstration of our CARE+ commitment. A resident of the Burlington, Bryan knows that Joseph Brant Hospital is an important part of the community, and he takes his role as a Manager seriously. He's committed to ensuring that patients receive safe, quality care, and he's always looking for ways to improve processes and procedures.
