PACU

Our new Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (P.A.C.U.) was designed to bring in lots of natural light and also features state-of-the-art physiological monitors and a centralized nurse workstation to enhance the quality and safety of the care we provide to our patients.

Services:
Our P.A.C.U. is designed to care for patients recovering from anaesthesia after their surgical procedures. Patients undergoing both inpatient and day surgery procedures may be directed here after their procedure for recovery. Our team consists of dedicated anesthesiologists and specialized post-anaesthetic and critical care nurses.

Services include:

• Monitoring Vital Signs
• Managing post-operation pain
• Surgical site examination

After your surgical procedure, if you are a Day Surgery patient, you will be transported back to Day Surgery to await discharge. However, if you are going to be admitted to the hospital, you will be transferred to an inpatient bed.

Families are welcome to wait in the waiting lounges. Communication is key with our nurses to determine the next steps. Additionally, a volunteer may be able to assist you.
