Opened on February 1, 1961, Joseph Brant Hospital was erected on land owned by it's namesake, Thyandenegea (Joseph Brant).

It is a community hospital serving Burlington and the Regional Municipality of Halton. Each year, we care for 175,000 patients. We see approximately 135,000 ambulatory and 45,000 Emergency Department (ED) visits. In 2016, we employed the services of:

  • 152 Physicians, Dentist and Midwifes
  • 1581 Employees

Our Redevelopment and Expansion Project is the biggest redevelopment the City of Burlington has ever seen. Our new and renovated state-of-the-art facility, will have the capacity to meet future growth and services needed for an aging population.
