If you live in Ontario and have a valid health card, you are covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and are able to receive standard care.
Additional fees are charged for items such as:
- Preferred room accommodation
- Ambulance
- Delisted procedures (a procedure that is no longer covered by OHIP)
- Uninsured procedures (a procedure that is not covered by OHIP)
- Medical devices
- Autopsies
- Complex Care Co-payments (CCC) for room and accommodation
- Release of information

Paying your bill
Patients are asked to pay their bill on discharge.
Accepted methods of payment:
- Telephone via credit card
- Financial institution
- Online
- Mail via cheque
- In person (after hours) via debit/credit card

Paying your bill at a financial institution
Online/in-person using your Patient Account Number. We do not accept e-transfers.
Paying your bill online
Patients can pay their bill online using our secure payment portal. A minimal service fee will apply to patients paying their bill by web.

Please include your Patient Account Number. When paying your bill by mail, do not send cash.

Private Medical Coverage & Health Insurance
We are unable check or confirm eligibility for private medical coverage or health insurance. Please have this information with you before coming to the hospital.
Out-of-Country
Physicians will bill out-of-country and uninsured patients separately for uninsured or delisted services. The hospital is not responsible for any billings or payments that result from physician-related charges.
