Helen is a member of our Management team, overseeing complex care, rehabilitation and palliative care.  After working for 20 years at a different hospital, she made the change to Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH). The decision was easy, with JBH Helen could advance her career and make difference in her community.

“There is definitely a different feeling of investment working to support [those] from my own community. It reinforces the fact that everyone is someone’s father, mother, brother, sister.”

Outside of the hospital, Helen is an avid runner and spends many hours running along the lakefront.

“Running by the lake is beautiful,” she said “there is usually a nice breeze coming off the lake in the summer, in the spring the lilacs are blooming and it smells so fragrant. Many of my staff walk, rollerblade or paddleboard by the lake together when they can.”
