At Joseph Brant Hospital, we are committed to providing safe, quality and timely care to our patients and our community and supporting them during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Like many Ontario communities, we have seen an unprecedented demand in recent weeks for COVID-19 testing at our Assessment Centre and Drive-Thru Clinic. Our staff are working diligently to respond to these requests and book appointments; however, this sudden and sharp increase has resulted in longer-than-expected response times.
We apologize for any delays in both appointment booking and testing. We are working hard to direct more resources towards reducing these wait times, including adding more staff to respond to requests and book appointments. We have also been working with our community partners to open a community-based testing centre in the coming weeks, which will increase capacity and improve access to testing.
If you wish to make an appointment for a COVID-19 test, we highly recommend that you book online at covidtesting.josephbranthospital.ca. Individuals can also request appointments by phone. With the current demand for testing appointments, you may experience longer wait times to receive your appointment confirmation.
We have also seen a significant increase in individuals not attending their appointments. Please contact us if you are unable to go to your appointment or need to reschedule.
Appointments booked through our website can be cancelled online by following the instructions provided in the confirmation and appointment reminder emails. Appointments made by phone can be cancelled by emailing CovidSchedulers@josephbranthospital.ca or calling 905-632-3737 ext. 6550 and selecting option #4.
If someone is very ill and in need of immediate care, they should go to the nearest Emergency Department or call 911.
