  • Have no acute breast symptoms

  • Have no personal history of breast cancer and no history of breast implants

Appointments

Appointments may be booked by calling the Women's Imaging Centre at 905-681-4915 . No doctor's referral is necessary through the OBSP program.

For anyone who does not qualify for OBSP Breast Screening, please contact your doctor for a referral for breast screening at JBH.

Physicians, please note the following important changes to Breast Imaging booking, effective June 2, 2025.

As we continue our commitment to service excellence for our community, we will require that all diagnostic mammogram and breast ultrasound requisitions be sent to the department prior to scheduling the appointment. For all referrals, please fax the completed requisition to 905-681-4830 or submit electronically through OCEAN. Please note, this does not include OBSP referrals, which can be booked over the telephone.

Follow up diagnostic breast imaging studies are occasionally recommended by the reporting radiologist. In order for Joseph Brant Hospital to schedule all follow up appointments on your behalf, we will require you to complete and fax a physician authorization form (see attachment below) to 905-681-4830, Attention: Miranda Young.

Thank you in advance for your continued support.

Mammograms are performed in our Sensory Suite.  This unique space has been designed to reduce anxieties often associated with screening. It features an interactive auditory and visual system.  Women can choose one of three ambient environments: Seaside, Garden or Waterfall.
