The Integrated Stroke Unit provides acute care and rehabilitation to patients who have had a stroke.

The Integrated Stroke Unit is located on Level 4 of the North tower.

What to Expect
Your Health Care Team
Stroke care is collaborative and inter-professional. While receiving stroke care, your health care team may consist of:
- Dietitian services
- Nursing
- Occupational Therapy
- Personal Support
- Pharmacist
- Physician care
- Physiotherapy
- Social Work
- Speech Language Pathology
Family Support
Families are important members of the care team. We encourage them to be an active participant in your rehabilitation. This will assist with recovery in hospital and prepare for a smooth transition home.
Your Health Care Plan
Your health care team will work with you and your family to develop health care plan that meets your goals and needs.
Fees
Patients admitted to the Integrated Stroke Unit may incur costs not covered by OHIP. These costs are the responsibility of the patient and their family.
