The Maternal Child Program and all of its associated Clinics, listed below, are located on the 2nd Floor of the North Tower, in 2N 500.
Directions
- Take the North Tower elevator to the second floor.
- Exit the elevator and turn left.
- Follow signs to the Maternal and Child Clinics.
- Wait in the waiting room located to the left of the clinic doors.
JBH Breastfeeding Clinic has a lactation consultant to provide and support care for new mothers and babies under the age of 6 weeks, born at JBH. We offer clinic and telephone appointments.
Our team will coordinate the best possible plan for each family in our care, specific to their individual needs. Clients may also request appointments during the prenatal period to discuss infant feeding.
An appointment may be booked before you leave the hospital or you can call for an appointment, once you are home.

The Gestational Diabetes Clinic is for women who have gestational diabetes or women who are already diabetic and become pregnant.
Clients will receive instruction about diet, exercise, glucose monitoring and insulin administration (if needed).
Our clinic team consists of nurses, dietician and physicians.

The Pediatric Diabetes Clinic at Joseph Brant Hospital provides outpatient care to children and adolescents under the age of 18 living with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.
Our clinic team consists of nurses, dietician, social worker and physicians.
A referral is needed to be seen.
Patients can be referred directly by their primary care physician or transferring clinic.

The Pediatric Rapid Assessment Clinic provides timely access to care for infants and children from newborn to age 18 years.
Assessment, investigation and treatment are all done in a child-friendly environment that specializes in caring for infants and children.
If your doctor, nurse or midwife feels your infant or child should be assessed by a pediatrician, a referral can be made to the clinic.
Once a referral is faxed to the clinic you will be called within 24 hours and be given an appointment date and time. The appointment will be within 1-3 days.
