Each year, our hospital signs a Hospital Services Accountability Agreement for financial performance and clinical utilization with the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integration Network (HNHB LHIN). This document outlines our performance obligations, and the resources we have committed to deliver care.
The Local Health System Integration Act, 2006, requires that the Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) and the Health Service Provider (HSP) enter into a service accountability agreement. This agreement enables the LHIN to provide funding to the Health Service Provider for the provision of services. It supports a collaborative relationship between the LHIN and the HSP to improve the health of Ontarians through better access to high quality health services, to co-ordinate health care in local health systems and to manage the health system at the local level effectively and efficiently.
