Thank you to all patients and visitors for continuing to assist us in maintaining healthy environment by refraining from smoking anywhere on our property, including in parking lots and within parked cars.
Joseph Brant Hospital is committed to providing and promoting a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, volunteers, students and visitors. Each day JBH provides care for hundreds of patients and we will extend our support of a healthy environment for patients, staff and visitors to all areas of our grounds as well.
On November 4, 2013, Joseph Brant Hospital became a smoke-free site. If you do smoke, please do so off property, using the provided containers for butts. View our Smoke-Free Brochure to see the map outlining our hospital property and the overview our Smoke-Free initiative. It is also available on each unit and at the main Information Desk in the hospital lobby.
For patients who are admitted to the hospital and would like to quit smoking or remain smoke-free while at JBH, our healthcare team is here to help and can discuss the options available for you. The developed patient smoking cessation program includes education, counselling, nicotine replacement therapy and access to many other services.
