The Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that Brenda Hunter, co-chair of the Our New Era Campaign and former Chair of the Board of Directors has been named Citizen of the Year for Burlington.

Brenda received the award last night at the Burlington’s Best ceremony. The annual awards are managed by a citizen’s committee established in 1965 with the mandate of recognizing Burlington residents who bring honour to the city and make a difference in their community.

The Citizen of the Year Award recognizes a person whose volunteer activity has made a significant and sustained contribution to the vibrancy and well-being of the Burlington community.

Brenda was honoured as a true champion for the Hospital Foundation’s Our New Era Campaign, which has raised more than $48 million of its $60 million fundraising goal toward the Hospital’s redevelopment and expansion project.

Please join Foundation staff and volunteers in congratulating Brenda on this well-deserved award, and saying thank you for her dedication to our Hospital.
