Joseph Brant Hospital power generator may cause noise disturbance for neighbours

Posted on Friday November 24, 2017

Burlington, ON – On Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 5 a.m. Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH) will be conducting a scheduled power shutdown as part of the infrastructure upgrade work for the Redevelopment & Expansion Project of the JBH facility. For this, JBH will be operating a temporary generator for approximately 24 hours, which may produce a noise disruption for the residents living within close proximity to the hospital.

“We apologize in advance for this noise and any disturbance it may cause,” says Henri Dekker, Director of Redevelopment & Facilities at JBH. “This work will allow us to migrate our systems from our existing generator, which is over 25 years old, to new and updated generators that will support the hospital requirements. These new generators meet all Ministry of Environment requirements, including sound attenuation.”

Joseph Brant Hospital thanks the community for their support and patience during this time as they work to build the future of health care for the Burlington community.
